Leek & Thistle owner Mela Jones has been serving our community handmade ready meals since XX. Her tried and tested recipes were originally sold at farmers markets and online through her brand Truly Scrumptious. 

 

Upon purchasing the Nota Bene business in Richmond, Virginia, she changed her business name to Leek & Thistle, a nod to her upbringing in Scotland and Wales. Mela brings flavors and seasonings from her life experiences to create diverse offerings for all palates.  

 

Mela uses fresh, local ingredients to create a wholesome range of main courses, soups, and entertaining meals that are frozen and ready to heat. She also has a wide selection of vegan and vegetarian offerings. In addition, her new market location will sell wine, provisions, and take away options, as well as ready meals.
